Who we are, and what this covers
Rumbling Waters Church (“RWC”, “we”, “us”) is a church in Wetumpka, Alabama, formerly known as Ridge Church. These terms cover your use of rumblingwaters.com and everything on it — the pages, the media, the member account area, the in-service dashboard and the online giving.
By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. You can always reach a person instead: info@rumblingwaters.com.
Using the site
The site is provided for personal, non-commercial use. Please do not attempt to breach its security, probe or scan it, scrape or harvest information from it, interfere with its operation, impersonate anyone, upload anything malicious, or use it to send unsolicited messages.
The site uses cookies for analytics and advertising as well as for signing in. The Privacy Policy explains what runs, where, and how to opt out. Using the site means you accept those cookies being set; your browser settings are the control.
We rate-limit and bot-check the public forms. That is to keep them usable, not to catch anyone out — if a legitimate submission is ever refused, email us and we will take it by hand.
Age
This site is intended for people aged 13 and over. If you are under 13, please do not create an account or submit a form here — ask a parent or guardian to do it with you. Our kids and youth ministries are for you; the website paperwork is not.
Accounts
A member account is optional. It exists so you can see your own giving history, download statements and manage a recurring gift. You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for anything done through your account.
Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it. We may suspend or close an account that is being used to abuse the site, and you may close yours at any time by asking us to.
Giving
Authorization. When you give online you authorize us to charge the payment method you choose for the amount you selected. For a recurring gift you authorize us to charge that amount on the schedule you picked until you cancel.
Recurring gifts. You can change or cancel a recurring gift at any time from your account, or by emailing us. Cancellation stops all future charges; it does not reverse a gift that has already been processed. Give us a little notice before the next scheduled date so the change lands in time.
Covering fees. Processing a gift costs a small percentage. If you choose to cover it, the amount charged is increased so the full amount you intended reaches the mission. That covered amount is part of your gift and appears on your receipt.
Designations. Gifts can be designated toward a fund we list. In line with IRS requirements for tax-deductible contributions, all gifts are received under the control and discretion of the church, which retains authority over their use in furtherance of its mission. We honor designated preferences wherever we can.
Refunds. Gifts are generally non-refundable. If something has clearly gone wrong — a duplicate charge, a wrong amount, a mistake — contact us within 30 days and we will make it right.
Receipts and statements. We email a receipt for every gift and can provide an annual giving statement. RWC is a religious organization; keep your receipt for your records. We are not able to give you tax advice.
Version. When you give or create an account, we record the version of these terms in force at that moment. That record is what applies to that gift, not any later version.
What you send us
Some parts of the site invite you to write to us — a prayer request, a connection card, a contact message, a group enquiry. Only send what you are comfortable sending, and please do not send anyone else’s personal information without their say-so.
A prayer request may appear on the public prayer wall, but only after a person has read and approved it, and never if you mark it private. Everything else goes to the church inbox and is not published. The Privacy Policy sets out what happens to each of them.
By sending something you give us permission to use it for the purpose you sent it for. If you would like something you sent removed, ask and we will remove it.
Our content
Sermons, music, photography, artwork, text and the design of this site belong to RWC or to the people we license them from. You are welcome to share links, quote a message, and use our media for personal and church-related purposes.
Please do not republish it commercially, present it as your own, or alter it in a way that changes its meaning. Some music and imagery is licensed to us and cannot be sublicensed — ask if you are unsure.
Photography at our services
We photograph and film services and events and publish that footage. Attending means you may appear in it. If you would rather not, tell any member of the team — see the Privacy Policy for how to have something removed.
Other people’s sites
We link to services we do not run — maps, video hosting, our payment provider, partner organizations. Those sites have their own terms and privacy practices, and we are not responsible for their content or how they handle your information.
Availability and disclaimers
We work to keep the site accurate and available, but it is provided “as is”. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and service times, events and details can change — check with us if something matters.
Nothing on this site is legal, financial, medical or professional advice. Pastoral conversation and prayer are offered in a church context and are not a substitute for professional care. If you are in crisis, please contact emergency services or a qualified professional.
Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, RWC and its staff, elders and volunteers are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of the site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of Elmore County, Alabama are the venue for any dispute. We would much rather talk it through first — please contact us before anything formal.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. The version and date at the top of this page always show the current one, and continued use after a change means you accept it. Material changes to the giving terms get a new version number, which is recorded against gifts made from that point on.
