About RWC
Meet the leadership
A church is made up of people, including the leadership. Here are the people who steward this house, and the people who hold them accountable.
Lead pastor
Scott Lawrence
Lead Pastor
Scott is the lead pastor of Rumbling Waters Church in Wetumpka. He served on staff here from 2016 to 2021, then planted and led Keys Church in Kissimmee, Florida from 2022 to 2025 before coming back to take the lead. He holds a degree in Ministry and Bible from Amridge University. He and his wife Kirstyn live in Wetumpka with their four children — Belle, Zeke, Snow and Levi.
The staff
The people who make a Sunday happen.
Clint Johnson
Student & Worship Director
Clint leads worship and carries RWC YTH, which means his week runs from the first song on a Sunday morning to the last student out the door on a Wednesday night.
Elders
In house shepherds and accountability.
An elder is a trusted leader who partners with our lead pastor to shepherd the church, and provides spiritual and financial oversight, wisdom and care.

Overseers
Outside shepherds and accountability.
Our overseers provide oversight to our lead pastor and are charged with protecting Rumbling Waters through counsel, prayer and accountability. None of them are on our payroll — that is the point.
